SOLVED: Microsoft Excel Locking Up

Microsoft Excel is really an amazing piece of software, but at times it can be frustrating when it constantly begins to crash and/or quits responding while working on worksheets. Here are 2 quick fixes that I have found that help users with Microsoft Excel locking up. You may need to close and reopen the application for the changes to take effect.

Fix 1 – Disable Live Preview

This setting is controlled in the Options section of Excel. This screenshot is from Microsoft Office 2013. Other versions may look a little different. This applies to the other fix below as well.
